Main factors affecting the efficiency of packaging production line

Jul 28, 2019

Since there is a problem in any part of the packaging machine, auxiliary equipment or automatic control system in the packaging production line, the productivity of the production line will be affected, so there are many factors that affect the productivity of the production line. The actual productivity of a rigid production line increases as the number of equipment increases, but its productivity increases accordingly, but it is not a simple proportional relationship. When the number of devices is increased to a certain amount, the number of devices is increased, and the productivity is decreased. Mainly because the time loss outside the cycle becomes the main factor affecting productivity. Flexible automatic production lines, with the increase in the number of packaging units, the productivity increases initially, and then becomes slower until stable; under the same conditions of time loss outside the cycle, the automatic productivity of inert packaging is always higher than the rigid production line. The number of segments in a semi-flexible production line has an impact on productivity, but the segmentation time of the packaging line is beneficial to reduce the time loss outside the cycle and increase productivity.

In order to increase the productivity of the production line, it is necessary to carefully analyze the main factors affecting productivity, and take corresponding measures.

Consider the following points:

In the choice of driving mode, the mechanism is used to replace the pneumatic drive system, which is convenient for the system to work under the same production cycle, and will not affect the system work efficiency and work reliability due to the fluctuation of air pressure and the workshop power grid.

Under the condition that the basic process time of the system is certain, we strive to reduce the idle time and auxiliary time of the system execution components, and try to make the various idle time coincide with each other to improve productivity. When the packaging machine is performing the motion cycle coordination design, the idle time auxiliary time should be overlapped with the basic process time as much as possible, and the various idle time times overlap or partially overlap each other.

Increasing the number of packaging machines increases the speed of the packaging line and reduces the basic process time, thereby increasing productivity.

Use advanced equipment to improve the reliability of the equipment itself.

Use a continuous packaging machine to minimize or eliminate auxiliary operation time

The packaging process with a long process time is completed in parallel using several devices. Or dispersed in several stations to jointly complete.
